ALF with new names in its governing bodies

Alexandre Ferreira Santos is the new President of the Portuguese Association of Leasing, Factoring and Renting

  

Alexandre Ferreira Santos (Caixa Leasing e Factoring) is the new President of the Portuguese Association of Leasing, Factoring and Renting (ALF), the organization that represents the specialized financing sector in Portugal.

  

With a career of about 30 years in the financial sector, Alexandre Ferreira Santos was the chosen name on behalf of Caixa Leasing and Factoring to replace Paulo Pinheiro, who took office in the last four years.

 

The ALF General Assembly also elected this week Jorge Gaspar (Santander Totta) to Vice-President of the Board, who will represent the Factoring sector, replacing Rui Esteves (Eurofactor). In turn, Luís Augusto (BNP Paribas) assumes the position of member of the Fiscal Council.

  

The appointed President and the new elected officers for the corporate bodies will continue the work that the ALF has been developing over 35 years in promoting the development of Leasing, Factoring and Renting activities, reinforcing its importance in supporting companies and valuing their contribution to the real economy.

 

At the same time, they will defend the organization's great objective in protecting and representing the interests of its members with public and private entities, national and international, cooperating in the definition of Public Policies and in the technical and economic training and valorization of the activity and the professionals of the sector. 

 

It should be recalled that, in 2018, the Leasing sector registered a volume of more than 5 billion euros, Factoring took 31.8 billion euros in invoices and Renting reached a production value of 743 million euros with 37,494 new cars.
