ALF JOINS THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE EU FEDERATION FOR THE FACTORING AND COMMERCIAL FINANCE
The Portuguese Association of Leasing, Factoring and Renting (ALF) has just been elected unanimously to join the executive committee of the EU Federation for the Factoring and Commercial Finance (EUF), during the council meeting of the organization, which represents almost 100% of the European Factoring market.
The General Secretary of ALF, Vitor Graça, will be the representative of ALF in the governing body of this Federation, of which other seven members are part, namely heads of similar associations from Spain, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland, as well as the FCI organization that represents companies from several European countries.
"It is prestigious for ALF to join the executive board of the EUF, which acts as a platform for representation, promotion and information of the Factoring sector at European level, interacting with the main legislative decision makers throughout Europe and bringing together experts from various countries. This is a unique opportunity that places Portugal in the European center of decision-making of a sector, which was responsible for taking credits worth 1.9 trillion euros in 2019," says Vitor Graça.
The Factoring sector in Portugal in the first nine months of the year was responsible for taking 22.7 billion euros in invoices, representing one of the highest penetration ratios in the national GDP at European level. The turnover of Factoring in Europe, totalized 800 billion euros in the first half of 2020.
